Bill Clinton ➠ ‘Absolutely Not’ A Mistake To Accept Foreign Money ➠ Video
In an interview with NBC News, Bill Clinton said his foundation’s decision to accept millions in foreign donations was “absolutely not” a mistake despite the potentially damaging political backlash against Hillary 2016.
The foundation recently reversed its policy on accepting foreign donations after immense pressure and scrutiny, limiting the acceptable contribution sources to six Western governments. The old policy allowed the foundation to accept money from countries with deplorable human rights records, including Saudi Arabia, from which it reportedly received between $10 and $25 million.
But when NBC News’ Cynthia McFadden asked Clinton if the change of policy was an admission that the previous policy was a mistake, he said no way. His reason: the foundation is helping a lot of people.
CLINTON: Absolutely not.
