CONFIRMED: ESPN Removes Asian Announcer Robert Lee From Announcing… Because Of His Name!

ESPN has now confirmed this. Just ridiculous! Has the world gone completely mad? This is what happens when liberalism is allowed to take root. Just one of the many reasons why ESPN is swirling around the drain and headed down quickly.

This poor Asian Robert Lee guy is getting discriminated against and I hope he sues them good.

Washington Times: Apparently, even being Asian doesn’t mean people won’t take you for being a white nationalist.

According to the popular college-football blog Outkick the Coverage, ESPN pulled an Asian announcer from calling a University of Virginia football game. The announcer’s name is Robert Lee.

“Did I mention that Robert Lee is Asian?” blogger Clay Travis asked rhetorically in a post that poured scorn over the popular sports network for political correctness, calling it “MSESPN.”

Citing “multiple Outkick fans inside ESPN,” Mr. Travis said Mr. Lee was pulled from the Cavaliers Sept. 2 game in Charlottesville against William and Mary “because they were concerned that having an ASIAN FOOTBALL ANNOUNCER NAMED ROBERT LEE would be offensive to some viewers.”

The fatal violence in Charlottesville earlier this month grew out of a white-nationalist and neo-Nazi march in favor of keeping up a statue of Robert E. Lee — “the Confederate General who died in 1870 and shares a name with” the ESPN announcer, Mr. Travis helpfully explained. More

TDC: ESPN has finally proved there’s no level of craziness it’s not willing to descend to.

Clay Travis reported Tuesday announcer Robert Lee had been removed by ESPN from the Virginia football game against William and Mary because his name is too similar to that of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee.

He wrote in part:

In a story that seems made for The Onion, but is actually true, according to multiple Outkick fans inside ESPN MSESPN decided to pull an Asian college football announcer named Robert Lee off the William and Mary at University of Virginia college football game because they were concerned that having an ASIAN FOOTBALL ANNOUNCER NAMED ROBERT LEE would be offensive to some viewers.

To avoid offending left wing idiots Robert Lee, the Asian college football announcer, not the Confederate General who died in 1870 and shares a name with him, was switched to the Youngstown State at Pittsburgh game and Dave Weekley will now call the William and Mary at University of Virginia game.

That’s it. Put a nail in the coffin of America because our society is absolutely dead. How stupid does ESPN think its viewers are? Do ESPN leaders honestly believe viewers don’t know the difference between a Confederate general and a football announcer? More
