Height Of Anti-Gun Insanity On Full Display In RIDICULOUS Facebook Post!
Social media is often a place to connect with friends, meet new like-minded individuals, and disagree about politics. Many take it to the next level and make posts that are just so insane that they warrant being shared. This is what happened with Steve Elliott and his post, which clearly depicts the height of anti-gun insanity from a self-proclaimed “responsible gun owner.”
In Elliott’s Facebook post, where he claims to be a responsible gun owner, he first details the few guns he has owned throughout his life. As one reads his post further, it is quite apparent that mental illness, in some capacity, affects a large part of his family. He has had several family members commit suicide, and he blames his gun, but that’s not the most asinine part of his post. Believe it or not, it gets worse.
His ridiculous rant read in part:
… [W]hile I’d like to believe I’m not part and party to the gun violence that stains America, I can’t. My grandmother shot and killed herself with a gun, and a few years ago my father shot and didn’t quite kill himself with one. My stepbrother died in a murder-suicide with a gun, and the husband of one of my sister’s co-workers was killed in a mass shooting.
None of that happened with my gun, of course, but after every new mass shooting, I’m reminded that I bear a portion of the responsibility for our nation’s gun violence. …
This guy is the epitome of the problem in America. He subscribes to the collectivist idea that even though he has literally never broken a law, committed a crime, done something wrong, or even thought about using his gun in an illicit manner, he is to blame. He is taking responsibility for the actions of others, and it’s how he solves the problem that is perhaps the most disturbing.
Today I disassembled my handgun, a 9mm Ruger, clamped the pieces in a vice and cut them in half with an angle grinder. I’m sending the proper paperwork into the state to report it destroyed.
He destroys his gun. He dismantled his means of self-defense because in his warped world, he is guilty of crimes he hasn’t committed. He’s somehow guilty of crimes committed by the most deranged people in society. He’s to blame — not the criminal that pulled the trigger.
This might be the best way to go for Mr. Elliott though, because this type of warped mentality is most likely a sign of mental illness. It’s probably a good thing this man no longer owns a gun. Now, he can be a whiny victim of society like the rest of the liberals in America.
Just so a liberal can understand, this is the equivalent of ruining all your kitchen knives because other people use them to stab and kill other humans. Now, tell me how that makes sense.
And in other news…
