Judge Alex Ferrer: Baltimore’s Mayor ‘Shouldn’t Stir the Pot Along Racial Terms’

Judge Alex Ferrer criticized Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake for stating that she would “get justice for Freddie Gray.”

“If, with the nation watching, three black women at three different levels can’t get justice and healing for this community, you tell me where we’re going to get it in our country,” Rawlings-Blake asked, referring to herself, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby and Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Rawlings-Blake made these comments while speaking at a National Action Network press conference yesterday.

Ferrer explained that “mayor of the city should not be stirring the pot along racial terms.” He added that he thinks she’s “doing it clearly for her next re-election.” More
