Kelsey Grammer Outrages Liberals With T-Shirt, But It Makes A SOLID Point…
Actor Kelsey Grammer isn’t really known for ruffling feathers when it comes to his political views, but recently he decided to speak out about something he thinks is important. He put on a t-shirt displaying a powerful message, then snapped a picture and uploaded it to the web. It’s safe to say that many on the left aren’t too happy about it.
The 60-year-old television star has always had Republican-leaning views and describes himself as an “out-of-the-closet Republican” in Hollywood, which can be dangerous for an actor’s career. However, despite the fact that conservatives are widely loathed in the liberal city, Grammer took a stand against abortion and Planned Parenthood by uploading a picture of himself wearing a shirt from the anti-abortion group Abort73.com, reports MailOnline.
“Would it bother us more if they used guns?” the shirt, which has a picture of a handgun on it, has written across the front.
Grammer’s 35-year-old wife, Kayte Walsh, reportedly uploaded the picture to her Instagram account, and it came at a time when the debate over whether federal funding for the so-called “woman’s health organization” Planned Parenthood should be stripped by Congress over the group’s shady practices which were caught on film. On Friday, the House Budget Committee approved common sense legislation that would help to derail Obamacare and block federal funding of Planned Parenthood, and it is all but guaranteed to be vetoed.
As for Garmmer being a conservative in liberal la-la land, in 2012 he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and blamed his beliefs as the reason his hit show Boss wasn’t nominated for an Emmy.
“Now explain something to me, you get a Golden Globe for Boss, but you don’t even get an Emmy nomination,” Leno asked.
“Yeah, it’s hard to figure,” responded Grammer. “It may have to do with several things, honestly, but I think it’s possible, I mean, I am a, I’m a declared out of the closet Republican in Hollywood.”
“Do I believe it’s possible that some young person, young voting actor, or even older voting member for the Emmys, would sit there and go, ‘Yeah, that’s a great performance, but oooooh, I just hate everything he stands for?’,” Grammer added. “I don’t believe that’s possible,” he sarcastically remarked.
