SHOTS FIRED As #Ferguson Protest Mob Marches In Delmar Loop
Several shots were fired Saturday night while several Mike Brown Ferguson protesters were marching in the Delmar Loop. The shots were fired near the Pageant concert hall near the restaurant strip.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported:
A teenager with a handgun was arrested Saturday night near Delmar and Skinker boulevards after shots were fired, St. Louis police say.
Several groups of teenagers were involved in three or four fights in the area, according to police, and shots were heard a few times. An officer saw a muzzle flash near the Pageant Theater on Delmar just east of Skinker, and took the teen into custody. Police said it was a 15- or 16-year-old male, but they were still trying to determine his exact identity.
St. Louis Police Maj. Jerry Leyshock said police recovered a small-caliber revolver at the scene.
Leyshock said police did not believe the the gunfire and fights were related to the several dozen protesters marching along Delmar to protest the fatal shooting last August of black teenager Michael Brown by then-Ferguson Police officer Darren Wilson.
