Ted Cruz On Supreme Court’s Decisions: ‘It Was Judicial Activism At Its Worst’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) reacted on “Hannity” to the Supreme Court’s decisions on legalizing gay marriage and upholding ObamaCare subsidies nationwide.

“…Those two decisions are two of the most damaging decisions in the history of the United States’ Supreme Court,” Cruz told Sean Hannity. “On Thursday, a majority of the justices, violated federal law, rewrote ObamaCare in order to force that failed law on millions of Americans.”

The 2016 presidential hopeful said the court’s gay marriage decision “was directly contrary to the Constitution.”

“It was as Justice Scalia observed five unelected judges saying their liberal policy views trump the considered judgment of 320 million Americans,” Cruz added. “It was judicial activism at its worst.”

He said that as a result of the Supreme Court’s decision on ObamaCare, “it makes 2016 a referendum on repealing ObamaCare.”
