WATCH: It’s Called “EXCALIBUR N5” And It Is Going To GIVE ISIS NIGHTMARES…
VIA: Last September, American defense contractor Raytheon fired a brand new missile, the Excalibur N5, during a flight test at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona.
Judging by this projectile’s capabilities, Islamic State group militants have likely been experiencing some rather traumatic nightmares since.
“The Excalibur N5 is a 5-inch variant of Raytheon’s Excalibur extended range precision projectile,” explained UPI. “The company expects the N5 variant will triple the effective range of naval gun munitions currently in use, while maintaining the same accuracy.”
In translation, the Excalibur N5 will make it even easier for the U.S. Navy to annihilate terrorist combatants.
According to Raytheon, Excalibur itself is a “precision-guided, extended-range projectile that uses GPS guidance to provide accurate, first-round effects capability in any environment.”
The Excalibur N5 basically adds to this already impressive set of attributes by making the projectile even more deadly.
Moreover, it’s designed for three forms of attacks: “Naval Surface Fire Support, Anti-Surface Warfare and countering Fast Attack Craft.”
The only limitation, of course, is that enemy combatants must either be on the water or near it for naval vessels to strike with the Excalibur N5 projectile. However, with the N5’s enhanced range, the barbarians won’t have to be as close as they used to have to be.
All in all, the introduction of this weapon bodes well for the U.S. military, which needs every tool available to wipe out the Islamic State group, which sadly continues to gain strength in the Middle East.
Militants from this sick group might have the power of guerrilla warfare at their disposal, but the United States clearly has much better technology.
And you had better believe that we intend to use it to wipe these miserable militants off the face of the Earth.
