The LEFT will say that we don’t need guns in or near our schools. Haven’t they figured it out that gun-free zones are the perfect targets for insane and mentally ill individuals who want to commit mass violence with the least resistance?

Mark Dallas, a school resource officer, exchanged shots with a student who brought a gun to school in Illinois, Wednesday morning.
The suspect, allegedly 19-years old, arrived armed at Dixon High School around 8:00 am Wednesday. When he got there, he fired shots at the resource officer on duty, hitting him. Then, the officer was able to fire back at the alleged shooter, hitting him, according to Dixon City Manager Danny Langloss.
According to the statement, no one other than the suspected shooter and Dallas were injured in the incident.
The shooting happened in the gym, where seniors were gathered for graduation practice, according to the Sauk Valley online paper.
“We’re lucky the officer was there. His brave actions saved a lot of lives,” said Langloss
