New York City media is reporting an NYPD officer was shot this evening in Queens Village.
The New York Post reported the officer was shot in the head.
“An NYPD officer was shot in the head in Queens Saturday.
The cop was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in a radio car.
A NYC radio host reported the shooting was an ambush.

“Sources tell PIX11 the officer was speaking to someone at 211st Street and 104th Avenue in Queens Village when the person pulled out a gun and shot the officer.”
The managing editor for WNBC-TV News Steve Bognar tweeted the suspect is on the run.

Will James with Newsday reported officers searching for the suspect are telling Queens Village residents to stay indoors.
