The State Of Alabama Just Made A BIG Move To STOP OBAMA!

VIA| Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley announced Thursday that his state would be suing the Obama administration over its resettlement of refugees from Iraq and Syria in his state, arguing that the federal government had failed to comply with the Refugee Act of 1980.

The lawsuit claimed that several government agencies had failed to consult with the state of Alabama on issues of refugee placement, as the Refugee Act of 1980 stipulates they must, according to Yellowhammer News.

“On three separate occasions I have sent letters to the White House requesting information on the Refugee Reception Program in Alabama and these letters have gone unanswered,” Bentley said.

“As governor, the Alabama Constitution gives me the sovereign authority and solemn duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of all citizens of Alabama,” he explained. “The process and manner in which the Obama administration and the federal government are executing the Refugee Reception Program is blatantly excluding the states.”

Gov. Bentley has asked the administration to provide him with classified details about refugee resettlement in the Alabama city of Mobile. So far, he alleged, they have refused to do so.

“My number one concern is the safety for the people of Alabama and making sure an outdated, archaic and dangerous process that excludes the states is eliminated,” Gov. Bentley said.

“We simply cannot have a federal program that impacts states yet doesn’t allow states access to critical information,” he argued. “By filing suit, my goal is to reform the way the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the State Department handle the Refugee Resettlement Program.”

Gov. Bentley is not only the first governor to file suit against the federal government over its handling of the Syrian refugee crisis; he was also the leader of the first of dozens of states to announce they would not be accepting Syrian refugees.

“After full consideration of this weekend’s attacks of terror on innocent citizens in Paris, I will oppose any attempt to relocate Syrian refugees to Alabama through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program,” Bentley said in a statement released two days after the Paris terror attacks. “As your governor, I will not stand complicit to a policy that places the citizens of Alabama in harm’s way.”

Good for you, Gov. Bentley. Let’s hope other states follow your lead.
