Gutfeld on Accused Boston Bomber: ‘Make the Punishment Fit the Crime’

Greg Gutfeld sounded off tonight on “The Five” about the accused Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

A jury finished deliberating for the day on 30 federal counts against Tsarnaev, including conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death, using a weapon of mass destruction resulting in death and the conspiracy to maliciously destroy property resulting in personal injury and death, Fox News reported.

“As the jury decides what to do with the remaining Boston bomber, known here as scumbucket, remember what he did,” Gutfeld said. “He gleefully placed a bomb next to a child, then set it off. I forgot one part. He left. He didn’t even stick around to see the outcome, which means he intended to survive.”

Gutfeld stated that Tsarnaev’s survival means that it is our responsibility to make sure that he experiences what he ran away from.

“It is not simply to enact justice, but to do something rare,” he said. “Make the punishment fit the crime, for once.”

Gutfeld remarked that everything in society is tailored with upgrades.

He explained that when you fly on airplane, when you stay at hotels and even when you rent a car, “it’s no longer one size fits all.”

Gutfeld added that even at Starbucks or at Chipotle, people can create a variety of combinations to eat or drink.

“Why aren’t we that creative with our justice system?” he asked. “We spend more effort on their last meals. I’m not talking about killing the runt, but taking his life every day until he dies of natural causes.”
