Ex-Campaign Staffer For Illinois Democrat Sues Over Retaliation After Reporting Harassment
Political consultant Alaina Hampton who blew the whistle on alleged sexual harassment inside the political organization of Illinois state House Speaker Mike Madigan (D) has filed a federal lawsuit.
Claiming she suffered illegal repercussions after accusing Madigan campaign aide Kevin Quinn of sexual harassment.
Alaina Hampton gives her statement at a press conference about her federal suit against the Democratic Party for sexual harassment. “Not only did the defendants completely fail to respond to my reporting about sexual harassment, they retaliated against me for it.”
She contends that Madigan’s organization prevented her from advancing professionally after she reported allegations of “severe and pervasive sexual harassment at the hands of her supervisor Kevin Quinn.”
“In the end, I was forced out of a career that I loved and had worked so hard for simply because I ultimately found the courage and strength to come forward and report the unlawful sexual harassment that I endured at the hands of my supervisor.”
