Israel Endures 2,225 Rock Attacks in Last Three Months… Media Silent
Israel “can’t see the end of the terror wave.”
In addition to the wave of stabbing and shooting sprees and vehicular assaults, Palestinian terrorists have launched roughly 2,225 rock-throwing attacks against Israelis in the last three months alone, according to reports.
The figures, released Wednesday by Israel’s Channel 2, note that this figures amounts to approximately 24 rock-throwing attacks per day. And while rock-throwing may seem benign as far as terrorism goes, these incidents are sadly not without yielding their share of casualties. Arutz Sheva reports:
The first fatality of the current terror wave was Alexander Levlovitz, who was murdered on September 13, Rosh Hashanah Eve. Levlovitz was murdered by Arab terrorists who hurled rocks through his window and made him lose control of his car as he drove in the southeastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Armon Hanatziv where he lived.
Since that attack and up until the end of September another 290 rock throwing attacks took place according to the news site, and in October another 915 rock attacks were recorded. November saw another 730 such attacks, and the first two weeks of December have brought with them another 290 rock attacks.
Just on Tuesday night a driver lost control of his car in a rock attack near moshav Mevo Dotan, located in northern Samaria. Fortunately no one was wounded in the attack. On Monday, three people were lightly wounded in an Arab rock attack near Beit Aryeh, also in northern Samaria; one of the three was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva for treatment.
Magen David Adom (MDA) reported on Monday that in the current terror wave Arab terrorists have launched no fewer than 169 terror attacks against Israelis in the last three months – killing 22 people and injuring 252 victims.
Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan told Channel 2 on Monday that concerns are mounting as Israel “can’t see the end of the terror wave.”
“There is an obstinate and cruel opponent here that isn’t ready to accept our existence in the land of Israel,” he added.
“We have overcome this opponent time after time, and in this wave of knife terror too, which is based on incitement and individuals, we will overcome.”
The West laments even a single terror attack on its societies, people and shared humanity, and rightly so. Yet when it comes to the daily barrage of terrorism waged against the State of Israel, the mainstream media and international community alike are deafeningly silent.
