Krauthammer: ‘Israel’s Concerns Mean Nothing to Obama’

President Barack Obama said that he is hurt by the “anti-Israel” comments from critics that are aimed at him.

“It has been personally difficult for me to hear … expressions that somehow … this administration has not done everything it could to look out for Israel’s interest,” Obama told The New York Times.

Charles Krauthammer sounded off during tonight’s “Special Report,” stating that “Obama is pretending that the issue is the recognition of Israel.” He added that a lot of states don’t recognize Israel, but Iran is the most threatening.

“Iran is the only state that says its ambition is to annihilate Israel and is attempting to acquire the weapons, which would do exactly that,” Krauthammer said. “And for Obama to say ‘who cares about that, it’s a nonstarter,’ is a way to say that Israel’s concerns mean nothing to him.”

Krauthammer said that’s why people are upset with the president’s policy on Israel.

“I’m sorry that he’s hurt by it,” Krauthammer said. “But I think there are larger issues at stake.”
