WHOA! NBC Made Payment to Staffer After Chris Matthews Accused of Sexual Harassment
Matthews reportedly paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. So here we have just another ‘pro-female’ liberal being accused of sexual harassment. BIG SHOCKER.
It looks like Barack Obama isn’t the only person who gives Chris Matthews a tingling sensation up his leg.
NBC confirmed Saturday through a spokesman the company made a payment to a Chris Matthews employee after she complained about sexual harassment.

Two sources familiar with the situation told The Daily Caller that Matthews paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. An NBC spokesperson contested that claim to the Caller, saying the company instead paid significantly less as part of a severance package.
The woman reportedly complained to CNBC executives that Chris Matthews would make inappropriate comments and jokes in front of fellow colleagues.
An MSNBC spokesman said Matthews’ comments were meant to be taken as jokes, not propositions; he was formally reprimanded, reported Athey. Read more at TGP.
FLASHBACK to May 2016, Chris Matthews was caught on a hot mic ogling at Melania Trump at then-candidate Trump’s campaign event.
“Did you see her walk? Runway walk. My God is that good,” Matthews said of Donald Trump’s wife during the network’s live coverage of Indiana’s primary on Tuesday night.
“I could watch that runway show,” he added, seemingly unaware that he was being recorded.
Following the “Hardball” host’s comments, co-anchor Brian Williams quickly moved to a commercial.
Mathews has been critical of the Manhattan billionaire’s stances on women’s issues, including his remark — which was swiftly retracted — that women who have abortions should be punished.
