Sarah Palin Turns The Tables On Tina Fey & It’s Going Viral (Video)
Sarah Palin stars in Independent Journal’s new comedy about a small-town TV writer who moves to NYC in hopes of creating a hit variety show. Also starring Kevin Brown (Dot Com), Senator Lindsey Graham and Senator John McCain.
Over the weekend on SNL, Tina Fey reprised her role as Sarah Palin. But today Fey’s years-long gag has an answer from Palin, who reversed roles and played Fey in the trailer for “31 Rock,” a possible sequel to the hit NBC show “30 Rock.”
The trailer shows Palin playing “Lynn Melon,” a small-town TV writer who moves to NYC in hopes of creating a hit variety show, but is challenged with overcoming the pressures of political correctness while sticking to her values.
In the clip, wearing a hoodie similar to the one often worn by Fey’s “Liz Lemon” in the original show, Palin bemoans “safe spaces,” demands a Big Gulp, and says that the only “PC” she needs is her laptop.
Starring alongside Palin are Sen. John McCain, playing a spinoff of “Jack Donaghy,” Alec Baldwin’s character, Sen. Lindsey Graham, spoofing the beloved NBC page “Kenneth Parcell,” and Kevin Brown as his original character “Dot Com.”
“31 Rock” is slated to “maybe” premiere next year.
