Suspect Arrested After Machete Attack At Florida Restaurant (Video)
Hollywood Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another after they were allegedly involved in a machete attack last weekend.
It happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, at Mamacita’s Mexican Bar & Grill located at 591 North Broadwalk in Hollywood.
Police said Cedi Pacheco, 36, approached two patrons who were seated at a table at the restaurant and attacked them with a large machete. Both victims suffered serious injuries and were transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where they underwent treatment.
According to the police report, the attack began as a fist fight over a girl. Pacheco allegedly then went to his vehicle, grabbed the machete and went back to the restaurant in a fit of rage. The report says he struck one of the victims with the machete a dozen times.
Pacheco fled the scene with at least two other subjects and engaged Hollywood Police officers in a vehicle pursuit. The chase went into Miami-Dade County and ended in the 2400 block of Northwest 26th Street in Miami.
Police said two subjects immediately fled from the vehicle and a third remained on scene and surrendered without incident. Pacheco was apprehended with the assistance of the Hollywood K-9 Unit. One suspect remains at large. More
